Prairie Village, KS (October 1, 2008): Having just completed the 4th consecutive annual Fireworks Season survey done with consumers that have purchased fireworks in the past 3 years from across the US, Black Cat Marketing USA announced results consistent with the previous 3 years, which continue to place the Black Cat® brand as No. 1 with American Consumers.
Administered by the Persuadable® Research Corporation., the on-line surveys had more than 500 respondents from across the US and from all demographic groups. In the general awareness category, over 75% of those surveyed were aware of the Brand. When asked ‘which one of the following Brands are you Most aware of’, 52% of consumers chose Black Cat®, compared with 31% for TNT, 12% for Phantom, and 2% for Brothers. Even more impressively, in the Central US region where Black Cat’s distribution is strongest, stretching from the Dakotas to Texas and Alabama, those results were 69%, 19%, 8% and 2%, respectively. Throughout the 4 years, the surveys consistently established that Quality, Safety and Value are the product attributes most important in making a purchase decision, and the QSV Seal now appearing on all Black Cat® packaging has achieved an incredible 41% all purchasers awareness level and 59% with the 3+ purchasers in a short 3 years. Another area of significant results was the use of Black Cat’s Web Site by the Consumers, with a 400% increase between the 2005 and 2008 surveys. Also, this year, 39% of all purchasers and 68% of frequent purchasers acknowledged taking Black Cat®product home for the Season, both increases from previous years survey results.
